Watts Water Technologies in North Andover, MA invites a Strategic Marketing Intern to support analytics and segmentation for the corporate marketing team. You will transform product-level sales data into actionable insights and help establish end-market segmentation standards.

This role involves building dashboards, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations, and documenting data sources and rules.

Qualifications

  • Current student (senior status) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Strategy, Market Research, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, and lookup functions.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and organize multiple years of product-level sales data into a clean, documented dataset.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to establish and apply end-market vertical segmentation standards and taxonomy.
  • Develop product- and bill-of-material-based classification logic to identify likely end-market verticals.
  • Analyze sales, customer, and transaction data to identify trends across market segments.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for leadership.
  • Document methodologies, data sources, and classification rules.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and external partners to align on objectives.
  • Develop recommendations to improve future data collection processes.
  • Support other projects as assigned by the Senior Manager.

The intern will leverage data analysis, customer segmentation, and stakeholder collaboration to transform product-level sales data into actionable business insights and develop a sustainable framework for ongoing market segmentation and reporting.This position reports to Marketing.
