Watts Water Technologies is offering an Engineering Internship in our Operations team at the St. Pauls, NC facility.

You will support shop floor process improvements, help develop work instructions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost efficiency and quality. We seek motivated students in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering who can analyze data, communicate effectively, and own assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• Current student (sophomore, junior or senior status).
• Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to present complex data effectively through charts, tables, graphs, and pivot tables.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with appropriate guidance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments and levels.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Help create and maintain shop floor work instructions, including specifications, engineering changes, process controls, and tooling requirements.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives that support continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with hourly employees and teams across Quality, Safety, Sourcing, and other functions on manufacturing projects.
• Support scoping, planning, and execution of manufacturing engineering requests to improve efficiency, product quality, and address production issues.

It’s all about expanding your skills, challenging yourself, and exploring where your ambitions can take you!Scope of PositionThis innovative and detail-oriented individual, as part of the Operations team, will support the identification and implementation of shop floor process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing production output. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and gain hands-on experience with manufacturing processes.This position reports to the Senior Manager of Advanced Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement. You will be required to work in the office at the St. Pauls, NC location (Monday–Friday).
