Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a Manager of Margin & Operations Finance to serve as the primary FP&A partner to laboratory operations. You will forecast cost of services, gross margin, and capacity, translating operating activity into financial outcomes to drive scalable margins.

You will collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement to evaluate cost drivers, automation impact, and investment opportunities, while ensuring alignment with controllership for cost accounting and close

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years FP&A, operations finance, cost analytics, or strategic-finance experience in high-volume settings.
• Strong knowledge of cost behavior, fixed vs variable costs, gross margin, and modeling.
• Experience partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, or procurement leaders.
• Advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills; Workday Adaptive Planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the forward-looking FP&A forecast for COS using operational drivers.
• Translate revenue and operating assumptions into gross-margin outlooks by test type or platform.
• Develop cost-to-serve models to identify economic drivers of major testing services.
• Model capacity, labor productivity, and reagent/consumable utilization to forecast margins.
• Analyze procurement, inventory, and supplier initiatives from a financial perspective.
• Prepare margin, cost, and operational-performance analyses for leadership reviews.
