Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Director of Manufacturing/Operations in Portland, OR to lead multi-site production, warehousing, and material-handling functions. You will translate business priorities into production plans, staffing, and capacity, while driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

You will develop leaders, strengthen operating systems, and partner with Quality, EHS, Engineering, Maintenance, and executive teams to support sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing and operations.
• 5+ years leading teams in material handling, warehouse, and logistics.
• 5+ years leading multiple operational functions and leadership layers.
• 5+ years managing safety, quality, productivity, scheduling, staffing, capacity, and delivery.
• 5+ years establishing KPI and using data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations across multiple production areas and shifts.
• Translate forecasts and requirements into staffing, scheduling, and capacity priorities.
• Establish KPIs, operating rhythms, and accountability systems.
• Oversee warehouse and material-handling operations and inventory accuracy.
• Partner with Quality, EHS, Engineering, and Maintenance to address risks and quality events.
• Drive continuous improvement using data and structured problem-solving.
• Develop workforce and capacity plans aligned with demand.
