Job summary

CHAOS Industries in El Segundo, CA, is building a robust manufacturing data ecosystem to power rapid production growth. The Manufacturing Systems Architect will own the architecture and integration of MES, ERP, PLM, quality systems, and analytics platforms, delivering scalable, traceable data foundations for informed decision-making.

Leading cross-functional teams, you will design data pipelines, governance, and a unified source of truth, ensuring system interoperability and future-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field and 8+ years of relevant experience, or 12+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and building manufacturing or operational data systems.
• Deep expertise in SQL, relational/time-series data modeling, and data pipelines.
• Ability to design platform-agnostic architectures and adapt to evolving tools.
• Strong data governance and traceability principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data models, schemas, and ontologies powering MES, ERP, PLM, quality, and analytics.
• Ensure data trust and end-to-end traceability from shop-floor capture to reporting.
• Integrate MES, ERP, PLM, quality, warehouse, and data platforms into a coherent source of truth.
• Build analytics backbone turning operational data into an actionable view on throughput and quality.
• Own technical vision and roadmap for scalable manufacturing data systems.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement fixes for data-quality issues.
