Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Cost Accountant to accumulate, analyze, and report cost information for an assigned operating area within our Indiana Harbor complex.

This role supports decision-making and the efficient use of company resources. Responsibilities include month-end close for production costing, forecasting, understanding manufacturing processes, communicating with management, and engaging with auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning skills.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Ability to retrieve, filter, and analyze data in Excel across multiple servers and systems.
• Local candidates only; relocation assistance is not available.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsabilités

• Perform month-end close related to production costing and report results.
• Participate in quarterly and annual manufacturing cost forecasting.
• Develop understanding of manufacturing processes to analyze key drivers.
• Provide timely information to management to support decisions.
• Engage with auditors to explain processes or provide docs.
• Use tools to drive process improvements for the function.
• Other duties as assigned.
