Job summary

Allient Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Buyer to ensure a continuous supply of goods and services, meeting specifications, quality and delivery requirements with minimal inventory investment.

The role involves using MRP software to purchase materials, coordinate pricing with CS for quotes, confirm delivery dates, and manage supplier communication. Strong Excel/MS Dynamics AX skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin or Supply Chain Management; equivalence accepted with experience.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication skills via email, phone and in person.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and MRP systems; MS Dynamics AX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Buys materials based on production need using MRP software.
• Compiles and communicates pricing to Customer Service for quotes; handles requests for quotes.
• Confirms prices and delivery dates; updates the MRP with delivery dates and communicates changes to suppliers.
• Assists in acquiring documents for production parts; forwards NCRs to suppliers and requests RMAs.
• Maintains approved vendor list; follows up on quality certifications and surveys.
