Job summary

Spartan Emergency Response, a part of Terex Corporation, is seeking a Buyer II to source vendors, solicit quotes, and procure repetitive assemblies, parts, and services for a medium-scope portion of manufacturing.

The role relies on an MRP system, requires expediting, supplier communication, and maintaining supplier performance to achieve quality, delivery, and cost goals, while supporting timely payments and accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a Computerized MRP system to create and review POs timely.
• Expedite backlog items to maintain report integrity for CS and warehouse.
• Communicate PO details with suppliers (manufacture number, pricing, delivery).
• Maintain delivery confirmation in the system.
• Resolve receiving/invoice discrepancies with AP to ensure payments.
• Track OTTR, OTIF, and lead time; manage MOQ vs EOQ.
• Attend Karrass negotiation training in year one.
