Job summary

Misericordia University in Dallas, PA is seeking a Major & Planned Gift Officer to lead solicitation of major donor prospects and oversee the Planned Giving Program. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will manage an assigned donor portfolio to advance the university’s priorities.

You will identify, engage, cultivate, solicit and steward donors, aiming to meet annual goals through outright and planned giving, while building credible relationships with supporters and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in progressively responsible fundraising with major and planned gifts.
• Proven track record of revenue generation.
• Experience cultivating and maintaining long‑term donor relationships.
• Current, valid PA driver’s license.
• Thorough understanding of a comprehensive development program.

Responsibilities

• Solicit the University's major donor prospects and oversee the Planned Giving Program.
• Identify, qualify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective donors.
• Meet annual goals by working with an assigned portfolio to advance university priorities.
