Job summary

Focus Financial Partners is seeking an Associate for its core strategy team overseeing all corporate development and M&A activities with immediate responsibilities in execution. You will participate in every step of the deal process from proposal to close, working closely with senior team members to drive deals to completion.

The role involves financial analysis, structuring and modeling deal terms, due diligence, and coordinating with stakeholders across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a top university or college.
• 2–3 years of full-time work experience in investment banking, private equity or strategic consulting.
• Strong financial statement analysis and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to present and discuss analysis to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Participate in every step of the M&A deal process from proposal to close
• Review CIMs and coordinate NDAs and management meetings with bankers
• Conduct financial due diligence and P&L scoping for deals
• Structure and model deal terms
• Prepare and present Investment Committee memorandums
• Prepare and present term sheets
• Coordinate across Focus’ Corporate and business line teams
• Assist senior team members and gain cross-functional exposure
