Job summary

American Packaging Corporation (APC) is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage shipments via TMS, route planning, and coordination with customer service on delivery timelines. This role focuses on cost-effective, timely distribution and collaboration across departments to optimize freight operations.

The position requires handling international shipments, keeping documentation up to date, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field.
• 3–5 years related experience in manufacturing logistics.
• Ability to handle pressure and coordinate shipments.
• Experience with NAFTA documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, process, and review shipments to customers in the most cost effective and timely manner possible.
• Create Bill of Ladings, packing lists, NAFTA and other documentation needed.
• Communicate with internal team members and external customers and carriers.
• Plan and schedule transportation routes for maximum efficiency.
• Track shipments and maintain accurate records of inventory.
• Resolve delays or damaged goods and implement cost-saving measures.
