Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network in New York seeks a Vice President of Pharmacy Operations to lead day-to-day operations across hospital, retail, infusion, and specialty pharmacy sites in Cooperstown, Oneonta, Delhi, Herkimer and Utica. You will drive high-reliability practices, KPI reporting, and strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Chief Pharmacy Officer.

The role requires a PharmD with NY licensure, 8+ years of health-system operations leadership, and 3+ years in management.

Qualifications

• PharmD from an ACPE-accredited institution required.
• MBA, MHA, or other advanced business degree preferred (or candidacy to complete within 3 years).
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive pharmacy or health system operations leadership.
• Minimum 3+ years of direct people-management at Director level or above.
• Minimum 2+ years of specialty pharmacy and/or 340B program experience preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent process improvement certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior operational leadership for pharmacy services network-wide across hospital, retail, infusion and specialty sites.
• Lead KPI dashboards and performance reporting calendars to drive decisions.
• Standardize practices and strengthen operational integration across sites.
• Oversee pharmacy automation, technology modernization, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Directly manage and develop pharmacy Director-level leaders and teams.
