Job summary

Scripps Research seeks a Senior Director of Donor Relations & Volunteer Engagement to provide strategic leadership for donor stewardship and volunteer engagement within the Office of Development.

The role leads a multidisciplinary team, aligns with gift officers, and reports to the AVP of Development Services & Administration, ensuring donor and volunteer efforts are timely and impactful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in donor relations, stewardship, or advancement.
• Experience leading managers and high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive donor relations and volunteer engagement strategy.
• Oversee donor recognition, reporting, and impact communications.
• Lead planning and execution of stewardship events and programs.
• Coordinate prospect strategy with gift officers and leadership.
