Job summary

Scripps Research is seeking a Senior Director of Donor Relations & Volunteer Engagement to lead donor stewardship, recognition, and volunteer programs across the Office of Development.

The role reports to the AVP of Development Services & Administration, supervising two senior managers and partnering with gift officers to align donor and volunteer strategies. On-site with one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success in donor relations, stewardship, or advancement.
• Strong leadership and team development experience.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities.
• Proficiency with CRM and reporting tools, especially Raiser's Edge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive donor relations and volunteer engagement strategy.
• Lead budgets and resources for stewardship and volunteer programs.
• Supervise and guide the Stewardship & Reporting and Volunteer & Donor Engagement teams.
• Oversee donor recognition, impact reporting, and annual stewardship communications.
• Collaborate with gift officers to align stewardship with fundraising goals.
• Plan and execute signature stewardship events and calendar management.
