Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of highly responsible and complex administrative or staff experience at the level of Supervising Administrative Assistant III, Assistant Hospital Administrator II, Staff Analyst, Health, or higher.
• Valid California Class C Driver License or ability to use alternative transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
• Successful clearance of the Live Scan process with the County of Los Angeles.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience presenting to community groups and liaising with elected offices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data management software preferred.
• Ability to work independently with initiative and accountability.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic planning and coordination for homeless services and housing initiatives within assigned unincorporated areas; assesses community needs, emerging issues, service gaps, and opportunities and develops recommendations to support HSH strategic priorities and goals.
• Coordinates and facilitates cross-functional efforts among HSH teams to address complex community needs and ensure coordinated responses.
• Supports Supervisorial District priorities and constituent requests related to homelessness and housing, coordinating with County programs and partners.
• Plans, coordinates, and facilitates strategic meetings and coordination forums to establish priorities and advance initiatives.
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with constituents, community organizations, municipalities, and public agencies.
• Conducts complex research, needs assessments, and analysis related to homelessness and housing, translating findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Coordinates development and implementation of strategic initiatives and projects addressing homelessness within unincorporated communities.
• Provides direction and mentorship to assigned staff and ensures work products support priorities.
• Prepares briefings, reports, presentations, and policy analyses for leadership and stakeholders.
• Identifies and resolves high-priority issues involving homeless services and housing with external partners.
