Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives and long-term organizational plans.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities, goals, and KPIs.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and environmental scanning to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, managing relationships and ensuring consistent communication.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions, workshops, and briefings with internal teams and external partners.

Koniag Services Inc., a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Strategic Lead to join our team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and forward-thinking professional with a proven track record of driving organizational growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership capabilities, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to translate high-level strategy into actionable plans. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance to support Koniag Services Inc. and our government customers. This position is on-site in Nashville, TN.

Position Description

The Strategic Lead will be responsible for guiding the development and execution of organizational strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives. The Strategic Lead will work cross-functionally with internal teams, external stakeholders, and leadership to identify opportunities for growth, improve operational efficiency, and deliver measurable outcomes. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives and long-term organizational plans.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and environmental scanning to identify trends and opportunities relevant to the organization.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, managing relationships and ensuring consistent communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions, workshops, and briefings with internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop and present detailed reports, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership and government customers.
  • Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Align cross-functional teams around shared strategic goals and ensure accountability for outcomes.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, program management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives and driving organizational change.

Preferred :

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Strategic Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working in or supporting a federal or state government environment.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to develop, execute, and monitor strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and strategic planning sessions with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in developing executive-level briefings, reports, and presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance.
Desired Skills and Competencies
  • Experience working in a federal or state government IT or professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of business development processes, including capture management and proposal development.
  • Familiarity with Agile or other iterative project management methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with data visualization and strategic planning tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
