Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or closely related field.
• Two years of land use planning, economic development, or related experience.
• Background check and eligibility for county liability insurance.
• Valid driver’s license if driving county business.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and development of land-use policy recommendations.
• Manage land use policy projects including comprehensive plan and regulations.
• Lead SEPA/NEPA functions and document preparation.
• Coordinate with director and other planners on code interpretations.
• Attend pre-application meetings as assigned.
• Represent Franklin County on boards and advisory groups.
• Handle complex land use applications and provide policy interpretations.
