Job summary

Diamondback Energy's Business Development Land team seeks a Land Technician to provide administrative, analytical, and project support in evaluating acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. You will coordinate information across departments and help ensure timely transaction activity.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain discretion and appropriately handle confidential and proprietary business information.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Development team in evaluating, tracking, and executing acquisitions, divestitures, trades, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare correspondence and other documents for review and approval; assist Landmen in preparation of contracts such as Purchase and Sale Agreements, Exchange Agreements, and other applicable documents.
  • Assist Landmen in preparation of Exhibits and Schedules for all associated agreements.
  • Work across company disciplines including Land, Accounting, Finance, Land Administration, and Reservoir Engineering.
  • Assist with transaction due diligence, data gathering, document organization, and project tracking.
  • Assist in maintaining transaction databases, trackers, and business development records.
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned projects and proactively drive tasks to completion with limited supervision.
