Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Land Acquisitioner for the Fort Worth South area to acquire undeveloped land or finished lots for development.

You will work with property owners, brokers, land developers, city officials, and others to secure land and negotiate purchase contracts. The role requires coordinating leads, performing initial research, and maintaining relationships with developers and landowners. You should be prepared to travel overnight and support a Fortune 500 company's growth

Qualifications

• Fifth year college or university program certificate.
• Four to six years related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, Secure and Organize Land Acquisition Leads.
• Receive and provide initial response plan for all new leads from outside sources.
• Perform Title and municipal research and initial “cold call” inquiry for potential land leads.
• Provide initial meeting with seller and/or seller’s representative.
• Prepare letters of intent and contact information to management.
• Underwrite and analyze the financial aspects of each development opportunity.
