Job summary

Ameren is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support strategic procurement and category management. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop cost models, analyze spend, and deliver value through effective sourcing and supplier management.

The role involves coordinating with Portfolio and Category Managers, developing competitive bids, and driving supplier performance while aligning with Ameren’s business priorities and cost optimization goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, related graduate degree, or Doctorate preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• IT procurement experience preferred.
• Proficient with the MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Category Management: Support Portfolio and Category Managers in activities to meet business needs.
• Spend Analysis: Coordinate with market, supplier, and spend analyses to inform strategies.
• Strategic Sourcing: Develop competitive solicitations, bid evaluations and negotiations.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build positive relationships with suppliers and partners.
• Supply Chain Strategy: Align category plans with business budgeting and planning.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement leading procurement practices across the organization.
