Job summary

National Veterinary Associates seeks an Strategic Sourcing Category Manager – Indirect to lead IT category strategy, including software, hardware, cloud, and telecom, aligning procurement with business goals and technology roadmaps.

You will collaborate with IT, Legal, InfoSec, and Finance to deliver cost savings, manage supplier relationships, and drive procurement transformation across NVA’s indirect IT spend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, or a related field required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, with at least 3 years focused on IT category management.
• Proven success sourcing and negotiating within software, cloud, infrastructure, and telecom categories.
• Deep understanding of IT vendor management, contract terms (e.g., EULAs, SLAs, subscription models), and procurement law.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT category strategy & execution across software, hardware, licensing, cloud, infrastructure, and managed services.
• Develop and implement multi-year IT sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and budgeting cycles.
• Conduct spend and contract analysis, benchmark suppliers and pricing, identify consolidation opportunities.
• Negotiate complex terms including SLAs, data security, and cloud subscription models.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing processes (RFx, evaluation, pricing, contracting) and drive supplier partnerships.
