Job summary

Montana State Fund (MSF) seeks a Project Manager to translate organizational priorities into clear, coordinated outcomes. You will lead medium- to large-scale initiatives spanning IT and operations, guiding planning, milestones, and governance while coordinating with IT, business units, and stakeholders.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on coordination, delivering high‑quality project outcomes in service of MSF’s mission for Montanans. Hybrid work in Helena, MT is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in project management with at least three years in IT project management.
• Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large IT and organizational projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and operational needs.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, establish milestones, manage risks, and ensure transparent governance.
• Provide status updates and decision support to stakeholders, guiding planning and execution.
• Capture lessons learned and apply continuous improvement across the project portfolio.
