Job summary

Samsung SDS America is seeking a highly strategic IT Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end sourcing of hardware, software, and IT infrastructure. You will partner with IT, Finance, and Legal to drive procurement strategy, optimize spend, and ensure SLAs are met.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, risk mitigation, and strong vendor negotiations, with onsite work at our Plano headquarters. A related bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of procurement experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT procurement, sourcing, or vendor management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of IT vendors and licensing models.
• Experience with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
• Proven negotiation skills with tier-one vendors.
• Proficiency with ERP/PO systems and Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Plano, TX five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing and vendor management for hardware, software, and IT infrastructure.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and licensing to optimize costs.
• End-to-end procurement: requests, POs, and deliveries.
• Coordinate with Finance for timely payments.
• Oversee IT asset lifecycle and software license renewals.
• Conduct vendor performance reviews and ensure SLA compliance.
• Develop IT procurement budget and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
