Job summary

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) seeks an IT Specialist I to support the IT Procurement Contracts & Reporting Section. The role involves managing complex IT procurements, drafting statements of work, and coordinating with program staff to ensure timely and compliant acquisitions.

Based in the Office of Information Services, you will help oversee IT budgets, legislative bill reviews, and expenditure approvals while using best practices in project management and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Experience handling complex IT procurements and contracting processes.
• Familiarity with procurement lifecycle including RFQ/RFO/RFP/IFB.
• Strong ability to draft statements of work and coordinate with program staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee IT services and goods acquisitions for CARB.
• Lead budgeting, bill reviews, and expenditure approvals within IT projects.
• Apply standard project management methodologies to IT procurements.
