Job summary

Centene Management Company LLC is seeking an intern to join the IT Portfolio Management team. The role focuses on learning processes within the Managed Care industry and contributing to projects that support business priorities, with an emphasis on AI-enabled product delivery and portfolio management.

Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and may gain exposure to stakeholder discovery, workflow analysis, and Jira-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in business analytics, product management, finance, etc.
• Relationship management will be important in this visible role within the department; prior work or internship experience is nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder discovery and current-state analysis to identify opportunities for AI-enabled product delivery and IT portfolio management.
• Evaluate existing workflows and develop validation-first, domain-aware agent concepts.
• Create reusable instructions, evaluation rubrics, documentation, and roadmap recommendations to improve intake quality and Jira-ready drafts.
• Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities.
• Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to projects.
• Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within the function and industry.
• Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned; complies with all policies and standards.

Position Purpose: Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business. Join the IT Portfolio Management team that helps the organization understand how to prioritize from a technology perspective.

Conduct stakeholder discovery and current-state analysis to identify opportunities for AI-enabled Product delivery and IT portfolio management.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period like business analytics, product management, finance, etc. Relationship management will be important to have as this is a visible role within the department. It is nice if you have prior work/internship experience.

Pay Range: 18-26/hour.
