Job summary

Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated in Milwaukee is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support the Fixed Income Capital Markets portfolio.

The BA will act as a bridge between business and technology, translating evolving needs into actionable outcomes for delivery teams. The role requires a minimum of three days per week in the Milwaukee office and strong domain curiosity. The candidate will develop domain expertise, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and drive delivery through agile practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in Business Analysis.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Experience with Salesforce configurations or requirements gathering is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive business analysis across initiatives including new capabilities, platform enhancements, and data/reporting.
• Plan and execute discovery activities, identify stakeholders, and define success measures.
• Translate business needs into clear artifacts like requirements, process flows, and user stories.
• Ensure delivery aligns with business priorities and strategic intent.
• Lead requirements validation to ensure delivered solutions meet outcomes.
• Develop domain expertise in Fixed Income Trading & Public Finance over time.
• Communicate effectively with executives, IT, and delivery teams.
• Foster agile delivery practices and continuous improvement.
