Job summary

Americo Financial Life and Annuity is seeking an experienced IT audit professional to oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of IT audits across the organization. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments and leadership, with responsibility for managing audit teams and ensuring high-quality work.

Responsibilities include developing IT audit plans, staying updated on control frameworks, and delivering findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT audit, information security, risk, or compliance experience.
• Knowledge of IT control frameworks, IT compliance, internal controls and accounting practices.
• Insurance industry knowledge and regulatory understanding.
• Familiarity with governance concepts, controls, and procedures.
• Data management and analysis using common data gathering tools.
• Strong written and oral communication to document conclusions and present to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT audits across the organization, planning, executing and reporting on deficiencies.
• Assist in developing and implementing the IT audit plan and strategies.
• Collaborate with other departments and team members.
• Manage audit team members, providing guidance to ensure high-quality work.
• Stay current on control frameworks and compliance requirements; adopt best practices.
• Prepare reports for senior management and executive leadership; support external auditors.
