Job summary

The City of Glendale AZ is seeking an experienced IT leader to manage enterprise applications and supervise staff within the Innovation & Technology Department. The role drives strategic initiatives, security, and complex IT projects to support city operations.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in a related field, 5+ years in IT with supervisory experience, and preferably DevOps/ITIL certifications. Office-based role with opportunities to coordinate across city divisions and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or related field.
• Five years of work experience developing, implementing, managing, and/or administering one or more enterprise applications, including two years of supervisory experience or evidence of progressively responsible management of staff or projects in information technology or related area.
• Industry standard certification(s) such as DevOps, Security+, or ITIL are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise IT staff to ensure effective operations of enterprise services.
• Design, plan, and manage IT projects to meet requirements and disaster recovery objectives.
• Coordinate with divisions and external partners to implement technology solutions within budget and policy constraints.
• Oversee procurement standards, data privacy, and security compliance across IT systems.
