Job summary

JBS Foods Plainwell Plant is seeking a Purchasing Inventory Specialist to manage inventory and support inventory projects. The role reports to the Purchasing Supervisor and is based at the Plainwell Plant.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, data maintenance with Material Master, and collaboration with vendors to determine lead times and alternative materials. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are required.

Qualifications

• Manage yearly cycle counts and parts not counted.
• Coordinate with Material Master on inventory data.
• Work on inventory projects.
• Strong computer skills – with emphasis in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving, issuing, and documenting parts and materials as they are received and dispersed.
• Receiving and taking delivery of parts and materials.
• Assist in training purchasing assistants.
• Parts investigation and vendor lead times.
• Filing paperwork and documents by combination of company name and numerical sequence.
