Job summary

Amazon Robotics seeks a Sr. Inventory and Manufacturing Planner to own inventory strategy, ECO/MCO lifecycle, and MBOMs for our manipulation systems in the Boston area.

You will build inventory control policies, release work orders, and develop capacity models while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics. The role demands deep manufacturing planning expertise, data-driven decision making, and Lean/Six Sigma experience to scale from development to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years in lieu
• Knowledge of supply chain concepts: forecasting, planning, sourcing, optimization
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
• Experience with reporting/visualization tools (QuickSight/Tableau/Power BI)
• Six Sigma / Lean tools
• Stakeholder and communication management
• ECO/MCO and BOM management
• Proficient in ERP systems and planning tools

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce inventory control policies; drive accuracy through cycle counts
• Optimize inventory levels and reduce E&O through proactive lifecycle management
• Develop new inventory strategies scalable with program growth
• Own ECOs and MCOs across programs
• Build MBOMs with configuration accuracy and traceability
• Set up Bills of Distribution and Sourcing Rules; partner on master data, routings, and resource rates
• Create finite capacity production schedules considering equipment, labor, and material constraints
• Develop build schedules and release work orders through their complete lifecycle
• Develop and maintain short-term and medium-term capacity models; identify bottlenecks
• Perform sequence optimization to minimize changeovers and maximize throughput
• Build KPI dashboards to track inventory and planning performance
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics on supply plan execution
