Job summary

Kent Quality Foods, Hudsonville, MI, seeks an experienced Inventory Planner to maintain accurate records, support cycle counts, and manage production schedules aligned with demand and capacity. You will analyze variances, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive improvements in inventory control and scheduling.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years in inventory or production planning within food manufacturing or regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain, operations, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management, inventory control, or related manufacturing environment.
• Experience using ERP/WMS systems required; Microsoft Business Central or Just Foods experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, components, and finished goods within ERP/WMS systems.
• Support daily inventory control activities, including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, lot tracking, material movements, and reconciliation.
• Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Create, maintain, and communicate production schedules aligned with demand, targets, labor capacity, and material constraints.
• Monitor finished goods inventory levels and adjust schedules to reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolete product risk.
• Track and analyze key production and scheduling metrics, including schedule adherence and inventory coverage.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain leadership to resolve issues and communicate changes.
