Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager, Inventory Planning Strategy, to lead the assessment, design, and implementation of best-practice inventory planning capabilities across multiple domains.

You will partner with brand inventory leaders, Technology, BI, and change enablement teams to translate needs into standardized processes and scalable solutions. The role serves as a domain lead and project owner, ensuring initiatives are scoped, prioritized, governed, and delivered with

Qualifications

• 5+ years in inventory planning, retail planning, business process design, or related discipline.
• Experience leading requirements-gathering sessions and translating business needs into solutions.
• Strong facilitation, written communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to partner with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct current-state assessments through workflow mapping, stakeholder interviews, data analysis, time studies, and gap assessments.
• Identify inefficiencies, inconsistencies, control gaps, and opportunities for standardization or automation.
• Facilitate cross-functional sessions to define business requirements and future-state processes.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, and implementation specs.
• Partner with Technology, BI, analytics, and other solution teams to evaluate solution options and support system enhancements.
• Provide documentation, requirements, and implementation guidance for training materials and playbooks.
• Build partnerships across brands and functions while balancing standards with business-specific needs.
• Support prioritization of the Inventory Planning Strategy roadmap based on impact and alignment.
