Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. seeks an Inventory Planner to manage a department from pre-season planning through monthly open-to-buy forecasting and inventory management.

You will forecast sales, manage replenishment, and collaborate with Merchants, Allocation, Ecommerce and Distribution to hit inventory targets and drive margins. Role offers visibility, strong leadership exposure, and a requirement to be onsite Monday through Thursday with remote Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years planning and distribution experience.
• Strong business acumen, financial analysis and technical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to prioritize and schedule work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Superior written, communication, presentation, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage a department through the entire product life cycle.
• Create pre-season plans and present them at investment reviews.
• Manage monthly open-to-buy forecasts to drive sales and margin.
• Forecast and review buys and replenishment by SKU to maintain optimum inventory flow.
• Partner with Inventory Distribution and e-commerce teams on allocation and on-site merchandising opportunities.
• Identify inventory liabilities and take action to maintain targets.
• Develop financial merchandise plans by department with merchant counterparts.
• Analyze day-to-day business trends and communicate recommended actions.
