Job summary

Aeon, an aerospace defense firm in Austin, TX, is hiring an Inventory Control Manager to set up and manage inventory across the site. This position will transform ad hoc handling into a disciplined, scalable function reporting to the VP of Supply Chain.

You will lead warehouse processes, establish controls, build dashboards, perform physical and financial reconciliations, and drive continuous improvements as volumes grow.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive inventory control or related field in aerospace/defense ITAR
• Proven experience building and improving inventory processes and controls
• Hands-on receiving, put-away, movement, cycle counting, and variance management
• Strong ERP/MRP/WMS fluency and impact of transactions on accuracy
• Excel data analysis including pivot tables and lookups

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement receiving, put-away, issuance, returns, and disposition processes
• Establish warehouse locations, part identification, labeling, and handling practices
• Create ABC classification, count procedures, variance investigation, and RCCA analyses
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for aging, replenishment, shortages, and obsolescence
• Lead WMS deployment including bar code scanning
• Document standard work instructions and training materials
