Job summary

Waterworks in Brookfield, CT is seeking an Inventory Analyst to optimize inventory across multiple warehouses, minimize excess stock, and protect profitability. You will partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Product teams to build dashboards and manage reserves.

Strong candidates have a bachelor's in Business Administration or Finance, 2-4 years in an analytical role, and proficiency with Excel; base salary ranges from $50,000 to $57,000 with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance required.
• 2-4 years in an analytical role.
• Inventory management experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Excel 2007.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations to identify excess, obsolete, unallocated and slow-moving stock.
• Partner with Finance to track and report on liquidation inventory progress, recovery rates, margin and financial impacts.
• Develop dashboards to monitor liquidation performance and identify trends.
• Assess inventory aging, demand trends, and liquidation strategies to align on current and future reserve implications.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to conduct annual review of reserve categorizations and rates and ensure policy compliance.
• Identify inventory eligible for scrap or write-off and coordinate disposal processes.
• Work with operations and warehouse teams to ensure timely scrap execution.
• Partner with Procurement and Quality to assess product disposition (transformation, builds, factory returns, etc).
• Partner with Procurement to support management of product transitions.
• Identify and track inventory assortment for Liquidation channel and work with Finance on pricing and margin strategies by line of business and liquidation events.
• Communicate liquidation plans, timelines, and outcomes to key stakeholders.
