Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to advise senior leaders, lead change communications, and unify culture across divisions and locations. The role focuses on shaping narratives, scaling intranet communications, and using AI to enhance quality and reach.

The job requires strong strategic thinking, CRITICAL ability to drive engagement across multiple business units, and travel up to 10% to SpaceX locations. On-site in Hawthorne, CA or Bay Area preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business/organizational communications.
• 10+ years in communications or public relations.
• Experience supporting change management.
• Practical experience using AI tools to draft, produce, personalize, or scale communications.
• Experience building employee communications or engagement across multiple business units or locations.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior executives on communications gaps and opportunities; turn them into plans that keep employees informed, aligned, and engaged.
• Lead change communications for company-wide and cross-division initiatives so employees understand what is changing, why, and what it means for their work.
• Build a connected, unified culture across divisions, locations, and newly joined teams.
• Develop and lead internal leadership speaking programs (live, filmed, and other formats).
• Set communications strategy and standards so teams use the right tools and channels to reach their audience.
• Own and scale the company intranet for diverse organizations; establish style guides, templates, and practices that raise quality.
• Manage internal communications in crises.
• Shape key internal announcements and narratives.
• Use AI to scale communications, improve quality, and increase impact.
• Ensure internal and external messages are consistent.
• Define how we measure communications and change efforts, and adjust accordingly.
