Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Communications Lead to provide leadership and direction for internal communications across our Regional Health Ministry. You will connect communication needs with system strategies, owning internal communications and guiding a team of marketing and communications professionals, senior leaders, and clinicians.

You will write and edit plans, talking points, intranet content, and video scripts; coach senior leaders on messaging; and collaborate

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, journalism or related field.
5+ years’ experience in strategic communications or public relations with executive exposure.
Experience working with executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead internal communications across MercyOne and align with system strategies.
Collaborate with marketing, senior leaders, and doctors to engage colleagues.
Write and edit plans, talking points, fact sheets, intranet content, and presentations.
Coach senior leaders on building awareness of MercyOne’s Mission and Values.
Manage internal communications channels including newsletters and intranet.
