Job summary

Fluence Energy is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to act as a strategic business partner, leading audits end-to-end across functions and regions. This role focuses on risk, process improvement and informed decision-making in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The Internal Audit Manager will report to the Director of Internal Audit and help transform the function in a fast-growing company with up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Approximately 6+ years of internal audit experience in high-growth organizations, risk management, or public accounting.
• CIA, CPA, CISA or applicable certification preferred.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Operate effectively in ambiguity and can assess new or changing processes without predefined audit programs.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset.
• Experience leveraging data and technology (e.g., analytics, AI tools) to generate insights.
• Experience working in a similar industry with supply chain, manufacturing, and construction experience is preferred; renewable energy or energy storage experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end audits, from planning to reporting, identifying key risks and delivering actionable insights.
• Translate risk into practical outcomes: document findings, partner with stakeholders to develop practical solutions, report results clearly.
• Audit across a dynamic, global environment: evaluate processes in supply chain, manufacturing, finance, technology, and operations.
• Leverage data and technology to enhance audit effectiveness: use data analytics and AI to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for continuous monitoring.
• Build relationships across the business: communicate risks, observations, and recommendations.
• Support and shape the audit function: contribute to audit processes and evolve methodologies.
• Lead and develop others: manage and coordinate third-party providers and mentor team members.
