Job summary

WM is seeking a Manager, Internal Audit to lead audits across finance, operations, and compliance. You will drive strategic initiatives, improve control environments, and guide analytics efforts with Optro.

You will manage a cross-functional team, communicate with executives, and advance risk-based audit plans. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, staff development, and stakeholder collaboration in a dynamic Houston setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Six years of relevant audit or equivalent experience.
• US GAAP knowledge and internal control framing (COSO).

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional audit team across operations and finance.
• Oversee integrated reviews of financial, digital, and operational processes.
• Support analytics strategy and initiatives for the department.
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to advance initiatives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve audit efficiency.
• Drive audit methodology improvements and process changes.
• Apply data analytics and Optro to plan tests and programs.
• Assist in annual and ongoing risk assessments for the audit plan.
• Review work papers, reports, and walkthroughs with staff feedback.
• Present findings and status to management and governance bodies.
• Manage daily team activities and ensure risk coverage.
• Provide coaching and development for staff.
• Maintain a leadership role ensuring scope and execution quality.
