Job summary

Referment, in collaboration with a global investment firm, seeks an Associate or Senior Associate focused on commercial data insights within its strategy and business development function in New York. The role translates complex data into actionable recommendations shaping client engagement, product thinking and business strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–6 years in commercial insights or strategic analysis.
• Experience in a global investment firm or major financial institution.
• Strong commercial judgment and project management.
• Advanced Excel; proficiency with Power BI or Tableau.
• Technical proficiency in Python and prompt engineering for automation.
• Experience with ESG data analysis is highly regarded.
• Clear written and verbal communication; CRM/engagement data experience useful.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and interpret data affecting marketing and client engagement.
• Turn analysis into clear strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Define business intelligence requirements with stakeholders and implement recommendations.
• Work with international data and engineering teams to improve analytical datasets.
• Support better use of relationship management data.
