Job summary

MISO is offering a Spring 2027 Co‑op in Strategic Insights Analytics. You will tackle high‑impact projects to understand trends, load behaviors, and market dynamics, delivering dashboards and strategic briefs.

You’ll work with a mentor, join lunch & learn sessions, and present recommendations to department leaders at the end of the term. Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Public Policy, or related fields, with strong analytic skills and comfort

Qualifications

Pursuing Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Public Policy, or related degree.
Strong critical thinking, research ability, and an interest in strategy, policy, market dynamics, or risk assessment.
Proficient in Visual Studio Code, GitHub, Power BI, PowerPoint, and commonly used analytical tools.
Demonstrate curiosity and collaboration skills; able to synthesize insights for leadership.
Excited to work with real-world datasets, dashboards, trend reports, and long-term planning materials.

Responsibilities

Work on high‑impact analytical projects to understand emerging trends, large‑load behaviors, market dynamics, and long‑term reliability implications.
Contribute to analyses such as reviewing load forecasts, evaluating risks, producing dashboards, and supporting cross‑team strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with your manager and a cross‑department buddy to grow your network.
Participate in lunch & learn sessions and community events; present findings to leadership at project wrap‑up.
