Job summary

Diageo in New York (3 WTC) seeks a Strategic Insights Analyst to produce actionable insights and reporting for the Strategic Insights team using external and internal data sources. This role supports stakeholders with timely analyses to guide business decisions.

You will build recurring industry reports, monthly Nielsen/NABCA updates, and assist with earnings and investor materials, while maintaining a unified view of syndicated data sources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 1–2 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and writing skills required.
  • PowerBI exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Produce recurring industry reports that summarize key industry trends.
  • Produce monthly Nielsen and NABCA trend updates for the organization, covering category and brand performance.
  • Provide general support for earnings and investor relations materials.
  • Produce key insights to prepare senior leaders for monthly meetings and investor conversations.
  • Support the Insights team to answer ad hoc strategic questions from executives and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a unified view of the two main syndicated data sources.
  • Answer ad hoc questions about performance from syndicated data across teams.

About this role

The key purpose of the role is to produce actionable insights and reporting in support of the Strategic Insights team and its key stakeholders, leveraging both external and internal data sources.

Key Outputs
  • Produce recurring industry reports that summarize key industry trends
  • Produce monthly Nielsen and NABCA trend updates for the broad organization, covering category and brand performance in the industry
  • Provide general support each fiscal half leading up to earnings and the various investor relations materials that need to be produced
  • Produce key insights to prepare senior leaders for their recurring monthly meetings, as well as periodic meetings with investors, analysts, and the press
  • Support the Insights team to answer ad hoc strategic questions from executive and other key stakeholders
  • Support the team’s efforts to maintain a “unified” view of the two main syndicated data sources
  • Answer ad hoc questions for various teams across the organization in a timely manner regarding different aspects of performance from the syndicated data
Experience/Skills required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of work experience preferred, though not a strict requirement
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and writing skills required
  • Preference for some exposure to PowerBI
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, imperfect data, and changing priorities and timelines
  • Strong team player and eager learner

Salary and Employment Details

Salary range is from $82,800 to $138,000 (Annual).
