Job summary

State Steel Supply is seeking a Sales professional responsible for buying and selling steel products, fabrications, and related services. You will prepare quotes and orders per customer demand, follow up on quotes, and monitor the market to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.

The role requires effective communication with customers and teammates via multiple channels, accurate record-keeping, and diligent follow-through on assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic and basic algebra.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous sales experience and experience with meeting the public and building relationships.

Responsibilities

• Buy and sell steel products, fabrications, and services offered by State Steel Supply.
• Prepare quotes and orders based on customer demand and follow up on quotes and orders.
• Evaluate customer needs and monitor the steel market to inform pricing and availability.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and clients via in-person, phone, email, or written correspondence.
• Complete all duties assigned as part of the Sales role.
