Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York is seeking an Executive Director for Industry & Policy Thematics Research (IPT) to lead high-impact analysis across supply chains, defense, energy, frontier technologies, and health tech. You will generate actionable insights drawing on data, signals, and policy context.

The role requires strong quantitative skills, clear communication, and cross-functional collaboration. You will shape IPT outputs and influence strategic decisions within a fast-paced bank.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years’ experience in data analysis.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple industries with curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a team player mentality.
• Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

• Drive research analysis on themes such as supply chain and advanced manufacturing; defense and aerospace; energy independence and resilience; frontier and strategic technologies; and pharmaceutical and health technologies and produce regular research and deep-dive reports
• Discern and analyze fundamental drivers of relevant industries and supply chains
• Produce and maintain quantitative indicators tracking progress or lack thereof of IPT industries development
• Produce high quality commercial research drawing on data, market signals, and sector-specific evidence and factoring in how policy and geopolitics shape sectoral opportunities and risks
• Project thematic developments and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
• Collaborate with different lines of research and different business lines across the bank to leverage IPT research
• Communicate findings through business writing
• Maintain external relationships and contribute to internal and external client engagements
