Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of complex multi-discipline projects and to mentor a team of project managers. The role bridges project execution and client engagement, driving performance, growth, and client satisfaction.

This hybrid position favors candidates in the Greater Hammond, IN region and requires travel to project sites as needed. Responsibilities include leading programs, overseeing PMs, managing metrics, and supporting business development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline
• 10+ years of experience managing complex, multi-discipline projects
• 3+ years of experience leading project managers
• Experience in heavy industrial sectors
• Knowledge of earned value management

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent projects ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations are met
• Provide oversight to project managers across technical, operational, and commercial matters
• Monitor portfolio performance with metrics and implement corrective actions
• Drive project financial performance including revenue recognition, cost control, and margin improvement
• Develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business
• Support proposal development, scope definition, and pricing strategies
