Job summary

Chromalox, part of Spirax Group, is seeking a Buyer in La Vergne, TN to procure raw materials, equipment, and production supplies. You will coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely material availability for production and customer demand.

Responsibilities include planning replenishments in ERP/MRP, negotiating prices and delivery, reviewing invoices, and driving cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or related experience.
• APICS certification and CPIM/CPM preferred.
• MRP experience required; JDE systems experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Plans replenishments utilizing ERP and MRP systems; negotiates expedites as needed.
• Approves invoices for payment and works with AP on discrepancies.
• Obtains product information from vendors, including price and delivery.
• Compares prices and selects sources; prepares purchase orders or bids.
• Ensures materials and supplies are ordered and delivered timely.
• Develops supplier strategies for long-term contracts and savings.
