Job summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Buyer to manage purchasing for the Value Stream in Indianapolis. You will place POs, negotiate prices, establish contracts, and optimize the supplier base to support the production plan and on-time delivery.

The role requires a bachelor degree and 0–2 years in procurement, with Oracle as a plus and strong MS Office/Excel skills. On-site in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 0 to 2 years of experience in procurement preferred.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers.
• Oracle experience a plus.
• Proficient MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Place new POs and follow up on existing POs and execution of tactical processes related to purchasing.
• Work to negotiate favorable pricing with vendors/suppliers.
• Establish contract terms with suppliers and drive ongoing supplier optimization to ensure that organizational metrics are achieved and manage the supply base.
• Identify and facilitate continuous improvement activities to drive reduction in indirect spend.
• Collaborate with and support production planning and Value Stream to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
