Belimo, the global leader in energy-efficient building controls, is seeking a Strategic Indirect Procurement Specialist Americas to drive sourcing for Professional Services, Facilities & Real Estate, IT, Marketing and MRO across the Americas.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to design strategic sourcing programs, oversee RFx processes, and lead negotiations to maximize value and reduce total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in indirect sourcing.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
  • Knowledge of SAP and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Experience leading or supporting supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Experience sourcing indirect services/materials across categories like Professional Services, Facilities & Real Estate, IT, Marketing, and MRO.
  • Ability to work independently with multiple sourcing initiatives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regional category management for indirect services and materials across the Americas.
  • Develop and execute regional sourcing strategies aligned with global procurement objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate needs into sourcing solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) with compliance and transparency.
  • Negotiate supplier terms and manage contracts to optimize value.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives via total cost of ownership (TCO) and supplier consolidation.
  • Maintain supplier development and monitor performance for long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platform usage to support RFx and contract management.

Introduction

The Strategic Indirect Procurement Specialist Americas, is responsible for supporting the strategic sourcing and category management of indirect services and materials across the Americas region, including in the categories of Professional Services, Facilities & Real Estate Services, IT, Marketing, and MRO. This role partners with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value through effective sourcing strategies, supplier management, and procurement best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Regional Category Management

Support and lead the strategic sourcing and category management of indirect services and materials across the Americas, including Professional Services, Facilities & Real Estate, IT, Marketing, and MRO, helping to drive value, efficiency, and business alignment.

Sourcing Strategy Development & Execution

Develop and support the implementation and continuous improvement of regional sourcing strategies, aligned with global procurement objectives, contributing to standardization, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Cross-Functional Business Partnering

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, translating requirements into effective sourcing strategies and procurement solutions.

RFx Process Leadership

Manage and execute end-to-end competitive sourcing processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ), ensuring compliance, transparency, and effective supplier evaluation aligned with procurement policies.

Supplier Negotiation & Contract Management

Lead or support supplier negotiations and contracting activities to secure favorable commercial terms, service levels, and agreements aligned with company standards.

Cost Optimization & Value Delivery

Identify, validate, and implement initiatives that deliver measurable cost savings and business value through total cost of ownership (TCO), supplier consolidation, process improvements, and strategic sourcing activities.

Supplier Development

Monitor markets and innovations while developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships that support performance, innovation, and long-term partnerships.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Execution

Ensure effective utilization of sourcing, contract management, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platforms to support RFx processes.

Required Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in indirect sourcing within an international business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, including end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
  • Knowledge of SAP and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Experience leading or supporting supplier negotiations and contract management activities.
  • Experience sourcing indirect services/materials across some of the categories such as Professional Services, Facilities & Real Estate, IT, Marketing, and MRO.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple sourcing initiatives and stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and support business decision-making.
  • Interpersonal communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to make fact-based decisions with a pragmatic and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Readiness to travel (approximately 10%).
Nice to Have
  • Experience operating within a matrix organization, and/or multinational manufacturing environment
  • Experience in project and change management, including coordinating initiatives across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with supplier performance management, KPI development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with category management methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000 - $115,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 10% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. Belimo is a total compensation company which includes a comprehensive benefits package including a full range of medical, financial, and other competitive benefits.
