Job summary

TikTok is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to serve as a key legal resource across U.S. immigration programs within the Global Corporate Services Legal Team. You will advise internal stakeholders, manage external counsel, and translate complex regulatory requirements into practical compliance processes.

The ideal candidate will have a JD and extensive U.S. employment-based immigration experience, aligning immigration strategy with TikTok’s growth and global operations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school or international equivalent.
• Experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house.
• Extensive U.S. employment-based immigration experience (H-1B, L-1, TN, etc.).
• Experience with immigration compliance audits, site visits, or government investigations.
• Experience advising on large-scale immigration programs or corporate restructuring.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, negotiation, and drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Immigration Compliance & Risk Strategy: provide guidance on U.S. immigration compliance and risk mitigation.
• External Counsel Oversight: review and validate advice from external counsel.
• Audit & Site Visit Preparedness: lead strategies for USCIS site visits, FDNS audits, investigations.
• Cross-Functional Risk Coordination: coordinate with Tax, Export Control, Info Security, and other partners.
• Regulatory Monitoring & Advisory: monitor changes in immigration law and advise on programs.
• Operational Process Design: lead initiatives to enhance immigration program operations and training.
• Large-Scale Program Support: advise on workforce transitions and entity transfers.
• Complex Case Advisory: support teams on escalated immigration cases.
