Job summary

Collective is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People team in San Francisco. You will partner with senior leaders to shape organization design, performance, and growth in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll coach managers, manage workforce planning, and lead core People programs while leveraging data and AI tools to drive practical improvements and impactful outcomes for the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner supporting technical or fast-moving organizations.
• Track record advising senior leaders across multiple functions.
• Strong org design, workforce planning, and change management skills.
• Experience owning performance and compensation cycles, including calibration and manager enablement.
• Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals and good judgment navigating employee relations issues.
• Comfort working in an HRIS and turning people data into a clear story for leaders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust at every level of the company.
• Interest in applying AI to sharpen performance management, coaching, and manager training.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and managers across client groups.
• Support employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle with cross-functional collaboration.
• Partner on org design, workforce planning, and talent development for evolving needs.
• Coach managers through performance, ER issues, and team dynamics with a high-performance culture.
• Lead work streams from idea to execution with clear recommendations and tradeoffs.
• Lead and improve core People programs: performance, manager effectiveness, reviews, engagement, and compensation cycles.
• Use Rippling and AI-enabled tools to derive insights and reduce manual work.
• Identify trends and convert insights into practical improvements to People practices.
